Below is an example of making a HTTP request to Squad Healthchecks from Node.js.

https.get("https://healthchecks.squadplatform.com/ping/your-uuid-here");

You can also send pings from a browser environment. Squad Healthchecks sets the Access-Control-Allow-Origin:* CORS header, so cross-domain AJAX requests work.
